CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
AOS have undertaken many feasibility, options and front end engineering design studies. These range from simple design studies with general arrangements and 3D visualisations to fairly detailed multi discipline studies where we produce multiple deliverables.
PLANNING & PERMISSION
AOS offers multi discipline engineering for new build, extensions and living quarter’s refurbishments. We offer surveys, reports and detailed engineering deliverables for multiple disciplines.
DETAILED DESIGN
AOS pride ourselves in being able to design a project through all early stages and into detailed design. We use various systems to produce 2D & 3D drawings as each individual project and client require. We utilise systems that allow us to produce automatic bills of materials as the job progresses.
COORDINATION
AOS are well known in the industry for our interior design ability. In the past our personnel have set bench marks on extremely high profile projects such as Buzzard in the North Sea for Nexen and Platong Gas II in SEA for Chevron.
SITE SUPPORT
AOS have carried out multiple Ergonomic studies over the years. Ergonomic studies are required on various projects and may be for the outside of the building, inside of the overall LQ or sometimes even for an important room such as the Control room which may function in different ways dependant on the status of the Platform, Vessel, Rig or Onshore Building.
TECHNICAL BUILDINGS
AOS has been involved in many types of buildings for the Marine & Offshore Industry. We have the capability to apply our knowledge to any type of project which involves accommodation or technical modules.

INTERIOR DESIGN
AOS has personnel whom in the past that have had to be based in clients office on a full time or part time basis to manage or coordinate projects as required.
VISUALISATIONS
Over the last few years AOS personnel have worked on a lot of technical buildings for the Petrochemical onshore industry. Our personnel have carried out lead architect & construction supervision services on many large and diverse projects around the world.
PLANNING & ESTIMATING
As well as offering passive fire protection design services for living quarters, AOS have also undertaken a lot of design work for PFP to valves, actuators, vessels & pipework. We have also much experience in design of blast resistant & relief items for the offshore & onshore petrochemical industry.
Affinity Building Design (ABD) specialises in the design of marine & offshore living quarters. ABD has carried out many projects in Europe, Asia, USA, Mexico and West Africa ranging from the full architectural detailing and services coordination of a 400 person Flotel living quarters to the Design of a 150 person FPSO living quarters to be constructed in China, final destination Brazil. AOS also undertake offshore surveys and designs for existing living quarter’s renovations and refurbishments. With a team of very experienced engineers, AOS have an excellent track record and have proven time and again through past design works that no project is too challenging.
